Why Take a Bath with Bath Tea?

Taking the time to nurture wellness and self-care is important, our bath teas are made with salts, oatmeal, essential oils, a proprietary blend of beneficial oils for the skin, and flowers, herbs, peels, and powders. Our herb blended bath teas moisturize your skin, while the soothing scents relax and rejuvenate your spirit.

Benefits of Oatmeal:

Oatmeal contains several components that could be beneficial for the skin. They include:

• beta-glucan, which is a substance that can absorb water
• phenols, which are a type of antioxidant
• saponins, which have soap-like properties and can act as a cleanser
• oils

A 2018 study suggests that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of oatmeal come from plant chemicals called avenanthramides that it contains.

Additionally, authors of some 2020 research note that oatmeal may help to soothe sunburned skin. In the United States, the FDA has approved the use of colloidal oatmeal as an over-the-counter skin care products. Another 2016 study found oatmeal found was tolerated well and could improve atopic dermatitis, eczema, acne, psoriasis, and itching and other dry skin conditions.

Benefits of Salt

Taking a salt bath can help clean your body while helping with muscle aches, calming of the mind, and eliminating germs all at the same time.  Minerals like magnesium and potassium found in salt can be absorbed during a warm bath to potentially eliminate toxins, remove impurities from the skin and help balance the body, with the added benefit of softer skin that has a healthier glow. 

The long list of benefits from salt baths inspired us to create our own line Bath Salts & Bath Teas. Not only do the Salts have benefits, so do the essential oils we use to scent them, some of the potential benefits include: 

1. Building Immunity – When you take regular salt baths, you aren’t just pampering yourself, you are soaking yourself in a blend of very absorbent minerals, when combined with the beneficial effects of a warm bath, they can help boost resistance to illness and disease. Similar to the effects of physical exercise, warm baths have also been found to trigger an anti-inflammatory response.
2. Increase Get-up-and-go - Our bodies need minerals. Magnesium is important for managing stress responses, and sadly most people are not getting the recommended magnesium intake. A salt bath can help bridge this gap and reduce poor sleep and muscle fatigue.
3. Soothes Muscle Injury - Warm baths can help ease pain and help your body to heal faster after an injury. When you add salts with warm water, the magnesium-rich bath salts can help relieve muscle spasms and menstrual cramps.

6. Helps with Congestion - Allergies and infections can lead to a buildup of mucus, which everyone has to cope with at one time or another. Not only does a salt bath help to eliminate existing mucus buildup, but it can also help to prevent it. Adding Eucalyptus essential oil, can give even more help to decongest the respiratory system.
7. Because They Feel Good! Sometimes the only reason we need to take some extra time to rest and relax, isn’t that it may help with pain or health issues, it’s just because it feels good!  Don’t just take a bath just because you need to learn to take salt baths because you want to.

Scents & Ingredients:

Chamomile: Chamomile Flowers, oats, salts, chamomile essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Chocolate: dried chocolate powder, chocolate essential oil, oats, salts, and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Eucalyptus: dried Eucalyptus leaves, oats, salts, eucalyptus essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Florida Oranges: dried orange peel, oats, salts, orange essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Lavender: dried lavender flowers, oats, salts, lavender essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Lemon: dried lemon peel, oats, salts, lemon essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Lilac: dried lilac flowers, oats, salts, lilac essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Mint Chocolate: filled with dried chocolate powder, peppermint essential oil, oats, salts, and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Mojito (Lime): dried lime peel, oats, salts, lime essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Peppermint: filled with dried peppermint leaves, oats, salts, peppermint essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Rose: dried rose petals, oats, salts, rose essential oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

Vanilla: dried vanilla tea, oats, salts, vanilla oil and a custom blend of oils that can include organic fractionated coconut oil, grape-seed oil, and olive oil.

DIRECTIONS: Remove from package, remove tag and add entire tea bag to your bathtub, keep the contents in the bag for an easy cleanup. Enjoy a nice soak in the tub for as long as you like.

Warning: As good as this may smell… Please do not drink the bath water (ingest)… it really won’t taste good. For that matter, don’t get it in your eyes, I’m sure it will not feel pleasant.
